Third Thursday Set for October 20

The City of Derby will hold its final Third Thursday event of the year on October 20 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Madison Avenue Central Park, 512 E. Madison Ave. Two additional event locations are at First Man Brewery, 437 E. Madison Ave., from 4 to 10 p.m. and the Derby Public Library’s Gathering Space and High Wall Galleries, 1600 E. Walnut Grove from 5 to 8 p.m. Third Thursday is an art-focused event series that features artist exhibits, live music, food trucks and more. The event is free and open to the public.

 

Event details for Madison Avenue Central Park:

  • Artists: Stephanie Bayliff (painter), Cort Anderson (photographer) 
  • Live musicians: Harrison Steele and Patz
  • Food and drink vendors: Snack Shack, Brazita Bites, Want Bierock Company & Coffee, Grace Hill Winery and Shaken or Stirred Bartending. 
  • Kansas Grown Farmers Market
  • Hubbard Arts Center table
  • Third Thursday T-shirts will be available for purchase
Featured artists at the Derby Library include Skip Kreibach in the Gathering Space Gallery and Lindsay Hendershot in the High Wall Gallery. 

“We look forward to hosting our final Third Thursday event for 2022,” said Kiel Mangus, City Manager. “Thank you to all those who joined us for our first two events. These events have shown that Derby supports a strong local arts and music scene. We hope to see you at the park on October 20.”
