Lake Camp Opening-REMINDER

Please see information on the Lake Camp Opening process for this year....

 

The following process will be used this year for Lake Camp Opening.

Please read as it has been modified from last year:

On Wednesday, March 1st, beginning at 10:00 a.m. - camping permits will be issued at Wellington Lake, for campsites located on the west side.  Camping permits for the east side will be issued on March 2nd at 10:00 AM.  NO camping permits will be issued at City Hall on March 1st or 2nd.

March 1, 2023 - West - Old West, Roundabout, The Island

March 2, 2023 - East -  Eagle, Rocky Bank, Forest, Shade, Sunset, Mallard

Access to the permit office on these days will be off 30th St. South and the Northwest Lake Road.  Access off Anson at 50th St. South will be blocked off.

Individuals may arrive and get in line for permits no earlier than 9:00 AM on March 1st and 2nd. Following the issuance of required permits, recreational vehicles/campers may be brought in and placed on their designated spots that afternoon or within 1 week thereafter. No setting of campers before getting permits will be allowed.

Lake Staff will not provide site markers this year.

Daily permit fees are as follows:

Recreation Permits are $5/$18 resident, $9/$32 non-resident

Electric Camping is $10/$240 resident, $13/$330 non-resident

Boat ramps will remain closed at this time due to low water levels.  Human powered boats and canoes will be allowed provided they can be launched by hand.
