City of Derby Third Thursday: March 16

Enjoy live music, drinks, food and artist exhibits.

All activities at Madison Avenue Central Park have been moved inside The Venue.  

Third Thursday is a time to celebrate the arts in Derby. Enjoy live music, artist exhibits, adult beverages, food truck fare and more.

Join us for our first Third Thursday of 2023 on March 16 at Madison Avenue Central Park from 5 to 8 p.m. Be sure to stop by our other participating locations, including the Derby Public Library, Hubbard Arts Center and First Man Brewery (details below).

At Madison Avenue Central Park you will find three artists inside The Venue lobby: paintings by Rita Tillison, handmade clay jewelry by Lauryn Dipman, and string art by Regina Willhight.

More at Madison Avenue Central Park: 

•    Drinks by Grace Hill Winery and Shaken or Stirred Bartending 

•    Food trucks including Brazita Bites, Brown Box Bakery, Busy B's, Cheezepanzee and Taters 'N' Toppings

•    Live music by the Lisa Hittle Jazz Trio

Stop by our other March participating locations:

•    The Derby Public Library, 1600 Walnut Grove, 5:30 to 7 p.m.

Elementary Art Show featuring Derby Public Schools, St. Mary’s and Faith Lutheran 1st, 2nd and 3rd grade artwork. 3D art from students at Derby High School will also be on display in the Gathering Space lobby area.

•    First Man Brewery, 437 E. Madison Ave., 3 to 10 p.m.

Work from artist, Stephanie Bayliff, and photographer, Donna Bates, will be on display.

•    Hubbard Arts Center, 309 N. Woodlawn, 5 to 7 p.m.

Art demos and art for viewing.
